Mr. Don Dyer
Mr.Dyer was born, May 5, 1962 in Alpine ,CA. He was a member of Japatul 4-H for 9 years and showed Beef, Dairy and home arts. He graduated from Valhalla High School and graduated in 1980. In high school he was the chapter FFA Treasurer, President, and the Section President. For his SAE projects, he had Beef, Dairy, Hay, Hog, and Shop projects. After high school, he attended California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, majoring in Dairy Science. He was awarded Outstanding Senior and NCAA national dairy judging team champions in 1983. He ran McRal dairy in Pennsylvania for 7 years. He worked toward his Masters in Agricultural Science and credential in 1992. He taught at Fillmore for 2 years in Ventura County and has been at El Capitan since then. He was then awarded outstanding teacher in 1999, and CATA Teacher of Excellence in 2002. Currently, he supervises Beef, Hay, and Poultry SAE projects. |

Ms. April Perez
Ms. Perez graduated from Julian High school where she was a member of the FFA. She was chapter secretary her junior year and chapter vice president her senior year. After graduation, she went straight to California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. She received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 2000 and began taking courses to earn her teaching credentials in agriculture education. She was a student teacher at Atascadero High School under the legendary Al DeRose. She then filled a long-term sub position at San Luis Obispo High School. Following this, she accepted the position at El Capitan Fall 2004 and has been teaching here ever since. |
