Welcome to the El Capitan FFA website! Here at El Capitan we offer many opportunities for our members to build on their public speaking and leadership skills. Our advisors work very hard to build on student's public speaking skills in FFA competitions such as Opening/closing ceremonies, Parliamentary Procedure, and judging contests. These skills can be very helpful in future careers and also look good on your college applications. We also offer new agricultural classes that count as high school credits. (examples)

El Capitan's FFA program is very unique. Students are able to participate in the Eastern San Diego County Junior Fair at the Lakeside fair grounds, as a chapter students have the opportunity to farm over 700 acres of Oat Hay, the classes students are able to be enrolled into offer 3 years of college credit and recently renovating our agricultural facilities using the Prop 1D grant and district bond money of about 7.3 million dollars has helped students tremendously when needing the space to carry out their SAE project.

As a chapter we encourage our members to strive towards personal growth and we encourage them to attend and participate in more FFA activities that can help them achieve personal growth. These FFA events include the Greenhand Conference, MFE/ALA, SoCal leadership conference, and State Conference. All of these events help members build relationships and practice their leadership skills. Join our chapter and GET CONNECTED!
